- Physiology of blood pressure at rest and with exercise.
- Etiology and pathophysiology of hypertension.
- Classifying and measuring blood pressure.
- Identifying and managing symptomatic hypotension in the rehab setting.
- Non-pharmalogical behavior change strategies.
- Managing resistant hypertension.
- Psychosocial issues that impact bloodpressure management.
- Medications in the management of hypertension.
- Medication adherence.
Please note: the AACVPR Education Committee has clarified that a cuff too small creates falsely high BP readings and a cuff too large creates falsely low BP readings.
