Recorded in 2016, this course will provide an overview of the Diabetes Management Staff Competency for Core Components. Participants will learn the definition of Diabetes Mellitus; target blood glucose and A1c; hyper- and hypoglycemia symptoms and management; diabetes complications and exercise prescription modifications; exercise guidelines, and how to enhance compliance. - Psychosocial Management presented by Joel W. Hughes, PhD, FAACVPR
Recorded in 2016, this course will provide an overview of the Psychosocial Management Staff Competency for Core Components. Participants will be able to identify psychological indicators that affect CV treatment response, pharmacologic and lifestyle interventions, support services to augment psychological interventions, and develop effective behavior change strategies based on common theoretical models and adult learning strategies. - Tobacco Cessation presented by Nancy McCleary, CCRP
Recorded in 2016, this course will provide an overview of the Smoking Cessation Staff Competency for Core Components. Participants will become familiar with current guidelines for treating tobacco use, effective behavior change strategies, support services for smoking cessation, physiological and psychological aspects of tobacco addiction, and efficacy of pharmacologic interventions. - Weight Management presented by Debbie Krivitsky, MS, RD, LDN
Recorded in 2016, this course will provide an overview of the Weight Management Staff Competency for Core Components. Participants will be demonstrate understanding of weight management principles, guidelines, weight loss interventions, complexities, behavior change strategies, and the importance and efficacy of regular physical activity. - Cardiac Exercise Training presented by John P. Porcari, PhD, RCEP, FACSM, FAACVPR
Recorded in 2014, this course will provide an overview of exercise prescription for aerobic and resistance training in the cardiac patient, as well as exercise safety and contraindications. - Pulmonary Exercise Training presented by Rebecca H. Crouch, PT, MS, CCS, FAACVPR
Recorded in 2014, this course will provide an overview of the principles of exercise training in the pulmonary patient, as well as exercise safety and contraindications. - Patient Assessment presented by Jill Fox, RN-BC, BSN, FAACVPR
Recorded in 2014, this course will provide an overview of the key components of patient assessment for the cardiac and pulmonary patient. It will also identify problems, needs, and goals initially, during the rehabilitation program, and at discharge.
Access license is active for 12 months from date of purchase. The CE certificate for the course will be issued upon completion of the full bundle.

Please note that the Cardiac Exercise Training course can be used to suffice the staff competency requirements for a Cardiac Rehabilitation program certification application and it cannot be used to suffice the staff competency requirements for a Pulmonary Rehabilitation program certification application. The Pulmonary Exercise Training can be used to suffice the staff competency requirements for a Pulmonary Rehabilitation program certification application and it cannot be used to suffice the staff competency requirements for a Cardiac Rehabilitation program certification application.
