2017 Annual Meeting Recorded Session - Improving Health Outcomes for Those at Risk for Vascular Diseases Keynote Presentation
Kathy Berra is a Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner who has spent her professional career championing Cardiac Rehabilitation and the prevention of Cardiovascular diseases. She is a founding member and past president of the AACVPR and past Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation. She is a founder and past president of the Preventive Cardiovascular Nurses Association and serves on their Board of Directors. Kathy is a Member of the World Heart Federation Global Alliance for Cardiovascular Disease Prevention in Clinical Practice. This alliance of health care professionals is working to reduce the worldwide incidence of CVD and Stroke by 25% in 2025. Her most recent interests lie in finding ways to improve care for older persons living with complex medical conditions.
