This session will provide an overview of the newly published AACVPR Pulmonary Rehabilitation Guidelines, 5th Edition. Updates to the guidelines and expansion of evidence to support PR components and concepts. Special emphasis on patient assessment to pulmonary rehabilitation.

- Attendees will be able to describe the components of pulmonary rehabilitation and best practices of program.
- Attendees will be able to list and identify the components of PR program assessment including COPD ABCD Assessment, smoking cessation, supplemental oxygen and psychosocial assessments.
- Attendees will be able to articulate evidence-based concepts of exercise assessment and training in PR.
- Attendees will be able to communicate the educational and interdisciplinary aspects of a comprehensive PR program.
