Tobacco use, especially cigarette smoking, is a major risk factor for cardiovascular and pulmonary morbidity and mortality. It is the leading preventable cause of death worldwide. Comprehensive tobacco treatment is a critical component of the clinical care for individuals with or at risk for cardio/pulmonary disease, as well as peripheral arterial disease (PAD). This workshop will provide the most up to date approaches to tobacco treatment within the rehab setting.
